  • What is a giclee print?

Fine Art Giclee is a high quality digital print used for fine art reproduction and commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries.

I work closely with my print maker, Old Town Editions, to ensure every detail is perfect when capturing the color and tones of my palette. Giclees are produced one at a time.

Old Town Editions uses specialty Canon ImagePROGRAF 12-color inkjet printers. They spray millions of droplets of water-based ink on archival watercolor paper or canvas. Depending on the size, this intricate process can take up to an hour or more for each print. Afterward, giclees are coated with a protective finish to assure their longevity.  According to the Wilhem Imaging Research, print longevity ratings for Canon printers with pigment ink, well exceeds 100 years! Rest assure that your giclee will look the same for a long time.
